SOLUTION: In classifying the battery packs 1, not the kinds of the battery packs 1 are discriminated by a magnetism measuring means 5 alone but the kinds of the battery packs are discriminated with the information having decreased measurement errors by the postures of the battery packs, such as the weight, area or volume information by a weight measuring means 7, an area measuring means utilizing a photographic device 11, etc., or a volume measuring means, by which the surer discrimination of the battery packs 1 is made possible.
