Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for suppressing the background noise of the spectrum Doppler imaging using a low-pass filter for reducing the adaptive noise. SOLUTION: To suppress the background noise of the acoustic Doppler data, a pair of adaptive low-pass filters 32 are provided in two acoustic Doppler channels. The low-pass filtering can be achieved in the frequency domain, i.e., before the IFFT operation 24, or in the time domain. The maximum frequency trace is supplied to a filter selection block 30, and the filter selection block specifies the filter cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter.
