KANA/KANJI CONVERTING METHOD AND READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDING ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) converting method by which the Japanese language can be inputted efficiently. SOLUTION: A KANA/KANJI converting method includes a step of retrieving the homophonic Chinese character corresponding to the Japanese syllabaries showing the reading of a Chinese character inputted from a keyboard, etc., from a dictionary recording the classified information indicating Chinese characters, Japanese syllabaries, and simple words or difficult words one word by one word and displaying the homophonic Chinese characters in either a first mode (basic candidate displaying mode) for displaying simple words only or a second mode (complete candidate displaying mode) for displaying both simple and difficult words, and then, selecting one out of the displayed homophonic Chinese characters.
