APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TREATING TERMINAL OF LAMINATED MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a phenomenon that loose wrinkles are generated in a terminal by the difference between the width of a roof trim and that of the terminal after the treatment of the terminal. SOLUTION: A terminal treatment apparatus of a laminated material is constituted of a material pressing means 3 for pressing the laminated material consisting of a base material 1a and a skin 1b in the cavity 2a of a lower mold 2 to the lower mold 2 to fix the same, an adhesive coating means 7 for applying an adhesive to the base material along the fold line 1g of the laminated material, a fold forming means 6 for pressing a heated fold forming jig 9 to the base material 1a to form a recessed groove 1d to the base material 1a along the fold line 1g, a folding-back means 5 for pressing the terminal 1f of the laminated material to fold back the terminal 1f inwardly from the fold line 1g, and a pressure bonding means 4 having a plurality of recessed grooves 4d formed to the pressure bonding surface thereof so as to leave an interval in the longitudinal direction thereof, and for bonding the folded back terminal 1f to the base material 1c coated with the adhesive 13 under pressure to bond the terminal 1f to the base material 1a by the adhesive 13.
