Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable active filter device capable of preventing the generation of adverse effect on other electrical equipment or consumers even if circuit resonance is generated at an electric system including a power supply line. SOLUTION: This device detects higher harmonies current passing through a power line 2, and the circuit resonance of an electric system including the power line 2 and resonance frequency thereof. The higher harmonic current in a lower frequency band than the resonance frequency detected is extracted from higher harmonic current detected. The canceling current which has the same waveform as the extracted higher harmonic current and opposite phase thereto is produced, which is then supplied to the power line 2.
