METHOD OF EXCHANGING OVERHEAD EARTH WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method of exchanging an overhead earth wire that can simply exchange the overhead earth wire within a short period and can execute such exchange even between the narrow distance towers. SOLUTION: This method of exchanging the overhead earth wire is basically used to replace the existing overhead earth wire X1 extended at the upper part of the iron tower 10 of the type to hang the transmission line Y with the metal arms 11 in both sides. One of the transmission line Y is used as a noncurrent line by suspending supply of the power, the existing overhead earth wire X1 that is canceled in the fixing thereof between the powers is mounted to the end point of an arm 30 of the derrick 20 mounted to the tower 10, the existing overhead earth wire X1 is expanded to the external side of the transmission line Y defined as the cease line by rotating the arm 30 under the aforementioned condition, and the existing overhead earth wire is replaced with the new overhead earth wire X2 at this position.
