CONTROLLER FOR VENDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption by cooling or heating only a required quantity of commodities and selling them at a proper temperature. SOLUTION: A controller is comprised of a cooler/heater 3, a fan 4 which sends air cooled or heated by the cooler/heater 3, a return duct 5 provided at the rear of a commodity storage device 1, a wind path shielding plate 6 which is placed in a position to provide s space above the return duct 5 and varies the space distance to the return duct 5 and closes the rear face of the commodity storage device 1 and the return duct 5 in the vertical direction, a driving device 7 which vertically moves the wind path shielding plate 6 to vary the distance of the space, and a switch 8 which is connected to a feed circuit to the driving device 7 and operates feed to the driving device 7. Partial cooling or partial heating is so performed that only commodities only in the lower part of the commodity storage device 1 may be at a temperature proper for selling, and the operation factor of the cooler/heater is lowered to reduce the power consumption.
