Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove naphthalene from the air or drainage including naphthalene. SOLUTION: A microorganism in Stenotrophomonas is allowed to grow in the decomposition tank 1 and a single element substance of naphthalene or a bad smelling air including naphthalene are introduced via the introduction pipe 2 into the decomposition tank in which the naphthalene in the bad-smelling air is effectively decomposed with the microorganism whereby the smell of naphthalene is removed from the bad-smelling air.
