Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional shape of an image pickup object that is temporally deformed by using pictures picked up by a plurality of cameras. SOLUTION: The image generator is provided with a camera unit 2 where N sets (1, 2,..., N) of cameras are placed at different positions and each camera picks up an image of an image pickup object at different view points, with a shape restoration section 4 that sets a characteristics area to the image pickup object included in N-sets of images picked up at the same time and uses a characteristic area to generate a measurement matrix including a motion information component of each camera and a shape information component of the image pickup object, and a shape synthesis section 5 that factorizes the measurement matrix to generate three-dimensional shape information of the image pickup object.
