METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUPERCONDUCTIVE WIRE ROD AND ITS MANUFACTURING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously satisfy three conditions i.e., a good superconductive characteristic, combination of stabilized copper, and easy application to a long wire. SOLUTION: A superconductive wire is manufactured in a process for inserting a solid solution 1 containing two or more elements constituting an Al5 type compound into a first metal tube 2, a process for combining the first metal tube 2 the solid solution 1 of the Al5 type compound into a second metal tube, a process for contraction-machining the second metal tube combined with the first metal tube 2, and a process for heat-treating the contraction-machined second metal tube.
