PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording on a dedicated video tape every kind such as news, a movie or the like by repeating the process of taking out a video tape from each of vertical and horizontal rows of trays provided in the inner wall of a box, loading it on a video deck and recording a picture, returning it to the original tray after the recording, then taking out a video tape for next recording from the tray, loading it on the video deck and recording a picture. SOLUTION: Vertical and horizontal rows of trays F are arrayed in the inner wall of a box S, and video tapes E are placed on the trays F. A storage device T controls an arm J through automatic control motors A to D, takes out a video tape E from each tray F, moves it to the tape insertion port L of a video deck K, inserts the video tape E into the tape insertion port L, and sets picture recording on the video deck K. After the end of recording, the video tape E is placed on the original tray F. Similarly, a video tape E for next recording is moved, and a picture is recorded, and by repeating this process, video pictures are recorded on plural video tapes E every kind.
