DEVICE FOR MEASURING TRAFFIC VOLUME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic volume measuring device using magnetic sensors capable of accurately measuring traffic volume regardless of the speed of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This device has a 1st magnetic sensor 2 arranged in the neighborhood of a road and a 2nd magnetic sensor 3 arranged along the advancing direction of a vehicle and separated from the sensor 2, and is provided with a timer means 10 which outputs a detection signal when outputs of the sensors 2 and 3 become equal to or more than a prescribed value and calculates a period required for passing the vehicle through between the sensors 2 and 3 due to the time difference between the detection signals of 1st and 2nd detectors 7 and 9, and the means 10 outputs a count signal that is also used as a reset signal resetting the detectors 7 and 9 to a counter 11.
