MACROLIDE-BASED COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having antimicrobial action not only on erythromycin-sensitive microorganism, but also on erythromycin-resistant microorganism such as streptococcus by introducing a substituted oxime group into a position adjacent to ester-carbonyl group. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I R1 is H, a 1-3C alkyl or the like; R2 is a 2-8C alkyl containing O or the like, H or the like, R3 is pyridyl, thiazolyl or the like; X is a group of formula II or III [R4 is H or methyl; R5 is a (substituted) benzenesulfonyl or the like; R6 and R7 are each H or methyl] or the like, e.g. 11-[2-[N-methyl-N-(3-pyridylmethyl) amino]ethyl]amino-11-eoxy-3-0-[2-pyridyl)-2-hydroxyimino]acetyl-5-0- desosaminyl-6-0-methylerythronolide A 11,12-cyclic carbamate. The compound of formula I is produced by method, etc., reacting a compound of formula V derived from a compound of formula IV with nitrous acid (salt).
