Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately control a hydraulic continuously variable transmission and to reduce the number of part items by mounting a rotational frequency sensor to the housing of the transmission to detect the output revolution of the transmission. SOLUTION: The hydraulic continuously variable transmission 25 comprises a hydraulic pump 23 and a hydraulic motor 24, and angles of movable swash plates 23c and 24c are controlled by a hydraulic servo mechanism. In this case, the rotational frequency sensor 55a is secured to the housing 33 at a position near an input shaft 26 to detect the revolution of the input shaft 26. The rotational frequency sensor 55b is also mounted on the housing 33 at a position near an output shaft 31 to detect the revolution of the output shaft 31. The external peripheral sections of the input and output shafts 26 and 31, near by which the rotational frequency sensors 55a and 55b are arranged, are formed integrally with gears to directly detect the input and output revolutions of the transmission 25. This achieves highly accurate control and the reduction of the number of part items.
