Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin battery of simple structure, facilitating certain disconnections of the current in case of overcharging or shortcircuiting and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: This thin battery is equipped with a positive electrode current collecting tab 12a, extending from a positive electrode current collector 12, a negative electrode current collecting tab 14a extending from a negative electrode current collector 14, a positive electrode terminal 19 pinched by the peripheral edges of armourings 16 and 17, fixed to these peripheral edges and extending out of the armourings 16 and 17, and a negative electrode terminal 18 pinched by the peripheral edges of sheathing bodies 16 and 17 fixed to the peripheral edges and extending out of the sheathing bodies 16 and 17. The connection part Y of the positive electrode terminal 19 with the tab 12a makes contact without fixing firmly to a connection part X of the negative electrode terminal 17 with the tab 14a. When an overcurrent flows to cause a rise of the internal pressure of the battery, the connection parts Y, X of the tabs 12a and 14 with the terminals 19 and 18 is disconnected to prevent the rise in the internal pressure.
