PORTABLE DUST-COLLECTING CIRCULAR SAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily absence the edges of teeth by preventing scattering of chips from being generated by forming a shielding plate almost normal to a side face of saw blade in a lower end part of a saw cover. SOLUTION: A clearance 7 is provided between a base upper face and a saw cover lower face, and a shielding plate 11 almost normal to a side of saw blade is formed near a lower end of the saw cover 4. When cutting operation is carried out by the portable dust collecting round saw, an operator generally executes cutting operation while an edge of the saw blade 6 is confirmed from above one side of a main body 1 on the saw cover 4 side. A part of chips to be generated in this cutting operation leaks from the clearance 7 between the base 2 upper face and the saw cover 4 lower face. Since a scattering direction of the chips is guided by the shielding plate 11 provided to the lower end of the cover 45, they scatter in an almost horizontal direction to the main body 1, do not fly up above the main body 1, and workability can be improved.
