Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sink and a washstand furnished with a function of reducing splashes of water without impairing appearance and ease of use. SOLUTION: The sink is equipped with a bowl body, on the surface of which a glaze layer is formed, a water faucet device arranged so as to land water on the bowl face of the bowl body and a scupper arranged in the bowl face of the bowl body. In this case, the angle of contact of at least the glaze layer surface of the bowl face with water is less than 30 deg., preferably 25 deg. or less and more preferably 20 deg. or less.
