WIPER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device realizing both an enlargement of a wiping range by a blade at an upper reversing position and a breakage prevention of the blade in respect to snow and ice or the like adhering to an area of a lower reversing position. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a retainer 3 whereto a piece arm on a projecting side and a blade 10 contacting a window glass face 40 of a vehicle are attached, a support head provided with an auxiliary shaft part rotatably supporting a base end part of the retainer 3 and journalled to a main shaft 5 rotatively driven by a drive source between positions equivalent to upper and lower reversing positions of the blade 10, and an angle regulating mechanism part regulating a rotation angle of the base end part of the retainer 3 in respect to the support head within a constant range. The base end part of the retainer 3 is rotated using the auxiliary shaft part as a spindle in accordance with changes of resistance force from the window glass face 40 to the blade 10 and an angle of the base end part of the retainer 3 in respect to the support head is changed within the constant range regulated by the angle regulating part for providing the upper and lower reversing positions of the blade 10 so that they are modifiable.
