SOLUTION: A broadcast device 1 transmits the data on the information icons which include the information on the programs and supply various services when the device 1 transmits the program data to a receiver 4 (S2). The receiver 4 stores the received data on the information icons (S3). When a viewer wants to acquire an information icon while viewing a program, the viewer performs the prescribed processing via a portable information processor 6 to instruct the receiver 4 to acquire the information icon (S5). The receiver 4 retrieves the instructed information icon from the stored data on the information icons with the time of instruction and the channel that is so far viewed used as keys and sends the retrieved information icon to the processor 6 (S6, S7). The processor 6 stores the data on the received information icon (S8).
