OPTICAL PICKUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can prevent ratting noises, when a lens holder hits a base. SOLUTION: A damping member 12 is made of a plate member 12a, and thin parts 12c are formed to both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the plate member 12a, and a gap is provided between a base 1 and the thin part 12c. Pinch holding projections 13a and 13a which can hold a yoke 6a therebetween, and holding projects 13b and 13b which can pinch hold a yoke 6a therebetween are set to edge parts of the damping member 12. The damping member 12 is surely mounted to the base 1, while pinch holding the yokes 6a and 6b. When the optical pickup drives to focus, projections set to the lower face of a lens holder 3 butt against the thin parts 12c to deflect the thin parts 12c, thereby preventing generation of rattle noises.
