PREMISES OPTICAL WIRING METHOD AND BRANCH CONNECTION BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit branching and wiring of an arbitrary coated optical fiber from an optical cable without affecting operation of existing service. SOLUTION: This branch connection box 10 has cable grippers 12 applying side pressure to a cable 3 from the outside of the cable 3 to grip and fix the cable 3 without affecting coated optical fibers 31; a resin spiral 13 holding the unbranched coated optical fibers 31 with them stuck to a slot rod 32; and an excess length storage article 14 comprising plural trays having connection part fixing parts and coated fiber guides each for imparting a constant curvature radius to an excess length part of a branched coated optical fiber 31a. Thereby, branch connection wiring is possible without affecting the coated optical fibers 31 in operation.
