METHOD OF CONTRASTING COAXIAL CABLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for removing connectors, enable the contrasting of a coaxial cable to be performed even during working, enable the contrasting of cables to be performed even in an environment poor in grounding and enable works conventionally difficult to be executed by one person to be performed in a method of contrasting the coaxial cable. SOLUTION: An a-c signal source is connected to an outer conductor and the ground at the terminal end of a coaxial cable 4 for a communication system using the coaxial cable 4, a clamp type leak meter 11, etc., is used to detect at parts with concentrated wirings such as overhead or pole distributors 3, or at connection points, etc., difficult to determine whether or not the cable is a user's one, and thereby the contrasting of coaxial cable 4 is enabled, without stopping the system or removing cables, i.e., even during working. The neutral point of a commercial power source is made out and this is passed via the ground of a pole transformer to enable the forming of a loop.
