PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of indentation by scale by providing a baffle board and a pressurized air feeding header between adjacent upper straightening rolls and attaching a plurality of nozzles for jetting air at a prescribed inclined angle toward a material to be straightened. SOLUTION: A baffle board 7 having the width of the almost entire length of upper straightening rolls 2, 3 is arranged vertically to the material 1 to be straightened between the upper straightening rolls 2, 3, and the baffle board 7 is supported vertically movably through a cylinder device on the main-body frame of a straightening machine. It is preferable that the height of the baffle board 7 for the full width is equal to the height for the full-width at which the upper edge of the baffle board 7 is extended above the centers of the upper straightening rolls 2, 3 and the distance X between the lower edge of the baffle board 7 and the material 1 to be straightened is about 30 mm.
