Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space for laying a cable between adjoining connection modules in a wiring block used in a communication industry. SOLUTION: A wire retaining strip 16 has a rectangular shape, including a first pair of faces 25 on both sides and a second of faces 27 on both sides. A plurality of electrical connection modules 30 are provided at intervals with a space between on one face of the first pair of the faces 25 in the elongated direction of the wire retaining strip 16. Each space 32 is put between the adjoining modules 30. The space 32 has a given size in a correct direction, in which a connection cable with the same height as the connection module 30 can be mounted.
