Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for battery improved in ionic conductivity and in low-temperature working properties, and high in electrochemical stability, and provide a battery using the same electrolyte. SOLUTION: This electrolyte for battery is made up of one or more kinds of solvents containing cyclopentanon, one or more kinds of salts dissolved in the solvents, and one or more kinds of additive agents associated with the solvents. The battery is made up of first and second electrodes at least one of which includes an active material applied to a metallic current collector, an electrolyte containing salts dissolved in one or more kinds of solvents containing cyclopentanon, and one or more kinds of additive agents associated with the solvents.
