DEVICE FOR MONITORING ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article monitoring device by which unexpected alarm is prevented from being issued and also power is saved. SOLUTION: The article monitoring device is constituted in such a way that a controller 7 clocks a prescribed time when a push switch 6 is continuously turned-on/off, a stand-by state is obtained when the push switch 6 is ON when the prescribed time elapses, an attachment surface where the push switch 6 is arranged is made to be a lower side to place the article monitoring device 1 on a table or the like, the prescribed time is not clocked even when the push switch 6 is turned on and alarm is not issued from alarm means 4 and 5 even when the push switch 6 is turned off by lifting-up the device 1. The device is also constituted in such a way that clocking is completed in the prescribed time even when the device 1 is attached to the article again after the push switch 6 is continuously turned-on/off and whole clocking is not made to be longer than the prescribed time as in the case of a conventional device.
