Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent irregularity in the gap between substrates caused by an unbalanced state of pressurizing force between a panel display part and a substrate peripheral part separated from the panel when a TFT(thin film transistor) substrate and a counter substrate are laminated and pressurized. SOLUTION: A same pattern as that of the display part is formed in the peripheral part of the substrate to be separated from the panel so that the step structure of the peripheral part of the substrate is made aligned to the step structure of the display part. Namely, a dummy common electrode 310', first insulating film 309, dummy drain electrode 311', dummy pixel electrode 312' and second insulating film 308 are formed in the peripheral part of the TFT substrate, and a dummy light-shielding film 302', dummy color filter layer 303' and flattening film 304 are formed in the peripheral part of the counter substrate.
