Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device with excellent assemblage in the field of installation, capable of reducing the size of lowering speed limiting means, and preventing vibration and noise from occurring in operation of the lowering speed limiting means. SOLUTION: This elevator device comprises an electric motor with brake 3 drivingly rotating a screw rod 7 threaded to a car 11 guided in up and down direction, and lowering speed limiting means 17 limiting the lowering speed of the car 11 when a brake is released in an emergency stop of the car 11. The lowering speed limiting means 17 is connected to the upper part of the screw rod 7 through a means for increasing the rotating speed of the screw rod 7.
