Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc substrate having excellent slippery surface and ensuring reliable recording and reproduction. SOLUTION: Monomer containing norbornane unit is injected into a die and molded through polymerization to obtain a disc substrate where the number of particles having grain size of 0.5 μm or above is 10,000/g or less. The substrate has excellent rigidity, reproduces surface profile of the die well and since the number of protrusions colliding against a magnetic head is decreased significantly, highly reliable recording/reproduction of information can be realized when it is employed as a magnetic disc or an optical disc.
