Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a construction cost by building a drain pump in a gate itself for opening/closing a water passage and using a vortex pump as the pump for constructing a vortex pump gate. SOLUTION: A vortex pump gate is lowered into a water passage so as to close it, and when an impeller 19 is rotated for discharging water flowing from the upstream side to the downstream side, an eddy current is generated in a vortex space G and water is pumped up by its centrifugal force, and then, water sucked inward from a suction port 14 opens a check valve 27 so as to be discharged to the downstream side from a discharge port 25. Because of the use of a vortex pump, a large-size waste sucked with water from the suction port 14 is given centrifugal force in the space G and directly conveyed to a discharge flow passage 31 so as to be discharged with water, so that water can be discharged without being clogged in a pump with a large-size waste. Therefore, a large-scale waste rejecting facility conventionally required on the upstream side of a vortex pump gate is dispensable, so that a construction can be lowered.
