Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly depress foaming of iron and steel slag developed in the case of being a pre-treatment of molten iron or blowing in a converter. SOLUTION: (1) A depressant used for this phenomenon is composed in the blending ratio by wt.% of 20-70% slag, 20-70% organic material of paper-making waste or the like, and 5-50% calcium carbonate. (2) In the above depressant, as auxiliary components, it is desirable to blend at least one among 3-15% Fe-Si alloy, 3-15% Ca or/and Ca alloy, 3-15% Mg or/and Mg alloy, 5-20% carbon powder, 5-30% Al dross and 5-15% iron powder.
