SPLIT TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high efficiency cooling or heating and air cleaning function by providing two air supply circuits in an indoor unit, connecting the first circuit to a first air outlet through a heat exchanger and a supply fan and connecting the second circuit to a second air outlet through an air cleaner and a supply fan. SOLUTION: An indoor unit arranged at a ceiling and a corner of two walls in a room of the split type air conditioner has a first suction grill 10 provided at a lower portion and a first air outlet 11 at a circular arc-like portion, and diffuses the air temperature regulated by a heat exchanger 16 from the air sucked by a cross-flow fan 15 as conditioned air from the outlet 11 into a room. In this case, a second suction grill 12 is provided at an innermost side of the grill 10, the air sucked from here by a Sirocco fan 23 is cleaned by an HEPA filter 21 and a highly regenerative adsorption filter 22, then diffused from a second air outlet 13A of the innermost side, thereby performing an efficient air cleaning function.
