SOLUTION: A vaccine composition is obtained which is useful for treating and diagnosing feline immunodeficiency virus(FIV) infection in the field of animal health by mixing an immunologically effective amount of nucleotide(s) selected from a part of a genome coding for GAG, MA, CA, NC, and ENV polyproteins, SV and TM structural proteins, POL proteins, PR, RT, DV, IN, Rev, Vif, and ORF2 non-structural proteins from FIV, a combination of these, or its degenerate variant nucleotide and a veterinarily acceptable carrier.
