Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand communication range for an IC card, an IC tag or the like of a batteryless operation. SOLUTION: A relay tag 4, having an antenna whose effective area is remarkably larger than that of an IC antenna 11 in an IC card 1, an IC tag or the like, energizes and transmits a received signal. Power energy is also supplied to the IC card, the IC tag or the like by an energized and transmitted carrier wave. The relay tag is provided with a relay circuit 6, which demodulates and demodulates the received signal. Thus, the card 1 can be moved freely within a range of several meters from a reader/writer 5. Furthermore, in the case of being moved in the wider range, a battery is used for a power supply 44 of the tag 4.
