SOLUTION: A codec device for PC has a system control software part 10, a signal processing part 30 and an input/output part 40. The system control software part 10 exchanges the multi-channel audio/sound and the multimedia data with the signal processing part 30 by the control of the application program 20 of the PC. The signal processing part 30 performs the processing of the multi-channel audio/sound and the multi-media data or the like. The input/output part 40 inputs the multi-channel audio/sound and the multi-media data from the outside or outputs them to the outside.
