Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new liquid allyphenol-based compound useful as a hardening agent for an epoxy resin which imparts a cured product excellent in solder crack resistance. SOLUTION: This new compound is an allyphenol-based compound obtained by the addition reaction of one molecule of a cyclic terpene compounds (e.g. limonene, dipentene, terpinolene, etc.), with two molecules of at least one of allyphenols (e.g. o-allyphenol, 6-allyl-2-methylphenol etc.), and is e.g. a compound of the formula. The new allyphenol-based compound preferably is obtained by reacting 1 mol of a cyclic terpene compound with 2-8 mol of at least one of allyphenols in the presence of an acid catalyst (e.g. hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.), at 40-160 deg.C for 1-10 h. When the obtained allyphenol-based compound is used as a hardening agent for an epoxy resin, the allyphenol-based compound preferably is included in an amount of 0.4-1.5 equivalents based on 1 equivalent of epoxy. |
