Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting method and a dust collecting apparatus with which explosion of dust hardly takes place and the frequency of the removal work of dust stagnating in a dust pipeline can be lowered. SOLUTION: A wet type dust collecting apparatus 22 is connected to an end part of a dust collecting pipeline comprising a main pipe part 14 and branched pipe parts 15, 16, 17. Dust collecting hoods 12, 13 positioned adjacently to a dust generation site are connected to dust introduction inlets formed in the branched pipe parts 15, 16. An incombustible powder charging apparatus 24 is connected to an incombustible powder introduction inlet formed in the branched pipe part 17. Together with a carrier gas, an incombustible powder supplied from the incombustible powder charging apparatus 24 is introduced into the dust collecting pipeline through the incombustible powder introduction inlet. The volume of the incombustible powder to be introduced into the dust collecting pipeline is controlled to be 3-15 times as much as that of the dust by volume. The flow rate of the carrier gas in the dust collecting pipeline is controlled to be 5 m/s or higher.
