PREPARATION OF POROUS ELASTIC MATERIAL MADE OF POWDERED RUBBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular board-like product of a continuous length capable of being continuously mass-produced as a factory-produced article using an extruder in a simplified manufacturing process by specifying a particle size of a powdered rubber and a formulation of a urethane composition used. SOLUTION: To 100 pts.wt. of a powdered rubber chopped into pieces having a particle size of 1-3 mm are added 5-30 pts.wt. of a one-pack type urethane and mixed by stirring to give a mixture, which is thrown into an extruder 4 through a hopper 5 and extruded, through a head 6 thereof with its thickness and width adjusted to prescribed values, down on a conveyor 1 having an easily releasable surface to form a granular board-like product 7 of a continuous length, which is heated on the conveyor to harden and cut in a desired length to give a formed granular board-like product of long length.
