Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitting-receiving system, where the constitution of the proper system in at least one station serving for transmission and reception, and the system is small-sized. SOLUTION: This optical signal transmitting-receiving system, where the first station 4 sends a wavelength multiplexed signal between continuous light having a wavelength λ1 and signal light having a wavelength λ2 to the second station, and the second station has an optical-to-electrical transducer 51a for converting the signal light into an electrical signal and an electrical-to-optical transducer for getting modulated light to be sent to the first station by modulating the continuous light, according to the electric signal applied from outside. Then, the optical-to-electrical transducer 51a and the electrical-to-optical transducer 51b in the second station are provided in series, so as to process the wavelength multiplexed signal without separating it into each wavelength components.
