Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch structure with which a normal conducting cable branches off from a superconducting cable. SOLUTION: This branch structure couples a superconducting cable 3 to a branch conductor 16 connecting with a normal conducting cable in a vacuum container 15. The superconducting cable 3 is coupled to the branch conductor 16 by using a steel core 17 connecting the butting superconducting cables to each other, a crimp sleeve 18, and a metal cylinder 19. Firstly, the steel core 17 is inserted into a former 5 of the superconducting cable and is connected with the former 5 with the crimp sleeve 18. Secondly, the connected former 5 and a superconductor 6 to be connected are inserted into the metal cylinder 19 and connected with each other by pouring solder 20 into the metal cylinder 19. Then, the branch conductor 16 is coupled to the metal cylinder 19 and extended to the outside of the vacuum container 15.
