DISPLAY DEVICE WITHIN FINDER FOR CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device within a finder by which a user easily recognizes warning display by controlling the illuminating color of an illumination means in accordance with information displayed by a display part. SOLUTION: Based on a control signal from a CPU, the liquid crystal segment of a liquid crystal panel 301 energized through a main circuit flexible board gets transparent so as to display character or graphic information, and a green LED 311a or a red LED 311b selected by the CPU is lit through a board 313 in accordance with the information displayed by the panel 301. A light beam emitted from the LED 311a or the LED 311b is made incident from the semicircular end face of the upper part or the lower part of a light guide 315, uniformly diffused in the light guide 315, and conducted toward the panel 301 from the front of the light guide 315. The conducted light is transmitted through the panel 301 and functions as illumination for the panel 301. Since the illuminating color is changed in accordance with the displayed information in such a way, visibility and operability are improved.
