FACE BAR AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a face bar from being cut or peeled by an external force to impair the water-tightness by providing a joint member to be inserted and set in the clearance between both face bars, which has a primary waterproof part for water-tightly retaining the surface side between face bar bodies and a secondary waterproof part for water-tightly retaining the reverse side. SOLUTION: A floor face bar 1 comprises face bar bodies 2, 2 arranged in parallel with a prescribed clearance and a joint member 3 to be inserted and set between the face bar bodies. The joint member 3 has a primary waterproof part 4 for water-tightly retaining the surface side between the face bar bodies 2, 2, and a secondary waterproof part 5 for water-tightly retaining the reverse side. The leg 32 and locking part 33 of the joint member 3 are elastically deformed and inserted to the clearance between the face bar bodies 2, 2, the bridging plate 31 of the joint member 3 is allowed to abut on the surface side 21 between the face bar bodies 2, 2, and the locking part 33 is engagingly locked by the angle part on the reverse side 22 of the face bar body 2 with a second water-tight material 35 interposed between them. Accordingly, the mounting work of the joint member 3 can be performed from one surface side, and the construction is facilitated.
