WORK STEP OF ROVING FRAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject work step which does not interfere with a simultaneous all tube exchange type device on its forward movement, can doff packages without extending or shrinking tube exchange arms and can reduce a space for disposing a tube exchange device at a waiting position. SOLUTION: This work step 29 of a roving frame comprises a support portion 30 and horizontally disposed plate portions 31a, 31b which are supported in a state capable of being extended in the longitudinal direction of the roving frame. When the tube exchange device 16 is disposed at a forward movement position, a cam member 35 is fixed to the lower surface of the plate portion 31a which interferes with the support 19 of the tube exchange device 16 in a horizontally disposed state. A came follower 36 for rotating the plate 31a horizontally disposed in a state brought into contact with the cam member 35 to an escaping position not interfering with the support 19 is attached to the support 19 through a bracket 37. When the tube exchange device 16 is moved to the forward movement position in a state engaged with the can member 35, the cam follower 36 is rotated to the escape position.
