Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing droxyphenylcyclohexanones in a simple reaction system under a mild reaction condition. SOLUTION: This method is to reduce biphenols through hydrogenation in the presence of (A) a basic or neutral carrier-supported palladium catalyst and/or (B) a carrier-supported palladium catalyst which has been processed to change the activity. In those catalyst used in the production method, palladium is supported by a (basic or neutral) carrier.
