LIBRARY SYSTEM WITH DUST PROOFING-AND-REMOVING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a library system that is equipped with a dust proofing-and- removing mechanism capable of reliably removing dust and obstructions from not only flat rails but such rails with irregularities as gear rails and brushing these rails clean. SOLUTION: A gear rail (b) has a row of gear teeth, and an accessor (a) has a gear in mesh with the row of gear teeth. Brushes c1 and c2 are so positioned that their bristle points reach down to the tooth bottoms of the gear rail (b) from which they clear dust and small obstructions. The oscillation of the brushes c1 and c2 uses, via conversion, the rotation of an X-motor (d) as the power source of X-axis movement of the accessor (a), with the result that this oscillation of the brushes c1 and c2 synchronizes with X-axis movement of the accessor (a) and brushes the gear rail (b) in relation to which they have contact periods and separation periods.
