PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintainability such as display program update and to lower the cost by automatically storing display data and a display program, stored on an information storage medium, in a storage part when the information storage medium is mounted on a mount part. SOLUTION: When a card detection part 8 detects a memory card 4 being mounted, a comparison part 10 compares the identification code of a display program and display data stored on the memory card 4 with the identification code of a display program and display data stored on a flash memory 6. When it is decided that update is necessary, the display program or display data are written to a specific area on the flash memory 6. When the display program is updated, operation for replacing an EPROM of a board in a display device main body can be eliminated and the display program of the display device which is installed at a high place can easily be updated.
