ACOUSTIC SIGNAL TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER FOR PIPE INSPECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acoustic signal transmitter/receiver for pipe inspection capable of distinguishing even an abnormality of an inspection target pipe occurring near a receiving element. SOLUTION: This acoustic signal transmitter/receiver has a transmitting element 20 for transmitting an acoustic signal into an inspection target pipe 60 from one end 63 of the inspection target pipe 60, a casing 40 housing the transmitting element 20, a receiving element 30 for receiving the acoustic signal reflected by the inside of the inspection target pipe 60, through holes 41a formed in the transmitting part side of the casing 40, and a connector 50 connecting the through holes 41a with one end 63 of the inspection target pipe 60. By receiving the acoustic signal transmitted from the transmitting element 20 and reflected by the inside of the inspection target pipe 60 with the receiving element 30, the inside of the inspection target pipe 60 is inspected. The receiving element 30 is disposed within the connector 50 with the receiving element 30 supported by a support 31, while a flange 35 projecting toward the inspection target pipe 60 is provided around the receiving element 30. Preferably, the inner surface of the flange 35 is formed in a tube shape.
