Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce the concentration of formaldehyde volatilized in the air by constituting an interior trim material of a basic material containing a porous material physically adsorbing formaldehyde and a coating film formed by applying a coating containing compound chemically adsorbing the formaldehyde on the basic material. SOLUTION: This interior material comprises a basic material and a coating film formed on its surface. The base material contains a porous material such as starch and waste paper physically adsorbing pulp formaldehyde. The coating film is formed of coating such as water-based emulsion coating containing compound chemically adsorbing formaldehyde. Therefore, after the porous material in the basic material physically adsorbing it adsorbs the formaldehyde, the chemically adsorbing compound applied on the surface of the basic material chemically reacts with the formaldehyde to retain it. If the formaldehyde is volatilized, the concentration of the formaldehyde can be thus reduced by the physical adsorption.
