Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a deviation in the radial direction of a polygon mirror on a rotor and moreover to reuse the other parts even if defects exist in one part of parts. SOLUTION: In this polygon mirror type deflector 1, a cap 90 is fixed to a rotor 4 by a screw 99, and moreover when the screw 99 is fastened, the cap 90 and the rotor 4 are relatively moved in the radial direction along the tapered surface 96 formed in the side of the cap 90, and the cap 90 is fixed to rotor 4 in the state of close contact. Also, the cap 90 is fixed to a polygon mirror 7 by an adhesive 81. Therefore, even when the polygon mirror 7 repeats a high speed rotation and stop, the polygon mirror 7 never deviate in the radial direction on the rotor 4.
