Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently eliminate a large amt. of foam by providing a separation tank for separating foam sucked through a suction line into air and a liquid and the suction means connected to the separation tank through a suction line and evacuating the tank to keep the pressure in the tank lower than atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: In the case where foam floating on the surface of the sea generated in the rotary screen pit provided in an intake port of seawater used in the cooling of electric power equipment is eliminated, a suction means 2 is operated in such a state that a suction port is floated above the surface of the sea to gradually evacuate a separation tank 1 to suck foam from the suction port 4. The foam arriving at the separation tank 1 through a suction line 3 is rapidly liquefied. Further, the pump 5a of a discharge means 5 is driven during the liquefaction of the foam to discharge the liquid in the separation tank 1. A plurality of the suction ports can be provided in combination with a line changeover valve in order to efficiently perform foam liquefying work.
